After being diagnosed with Leukemia, my son Shreenik Jung Khadka (4yrs old) is struggling to find a matched donor for stem cells transplant. Being caucasian(white origin) gives 80% chance of finding the a match but ethnic minorities like us are massively under represented in the donor panel. Ethnicity plays a crucial role in finding a better match. Hence, I would like to appeal all Nepalese community to give it a consideration and register for stem cells donation.
You don’t have to leave the comfort of your home to be registered and checked. All it takes is a simple swap inside your mouth to register your DNA on the database. If its a match, you could be asked to donate and save a life.

Also, anyone who is pregnant and about to give birth, please consider donating the cord blood(taken from umbilical cord which is normally discarded), which is used to give miraculous cure to someone like my Son or even the same baby if they need in the future.
