Mumbai /The dashing bollywood hunk Abhishek Bachchan is busy promoting his upcoming movie “Raavan” opposite his wife Aishwarya Rai which is directed by the ace director Mani Ratnam. During the promotion he was overwhelmed by seeing his fans going fanatical over him.

He was stunned by people’s response and said that he never knew that so many people know him. He told at a press conference at Cinemax Versova that he likes to promote his films himself, he wants to go out to the audience and tell them about the film directly. Furthermore, he stated that he enjoys doing it and was shocked to see so many people showed up as he never knew that so many people know him.

Aishwarya Rai, who was missing in that promotional event later, joined him at the press conference.

“Raavan” is loosely based on the Indian epic Ramayana in which the wife of Lord Ram, Sita is kidnapped by the demon king Ravana. But the movie “Raavan” is said to have a new twist then of Ramayana. Modern day Ravana is portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan whereas Sita is depicted by Aishwarya Rai and Lord Ram is played by Tamil superstar Vikram.

It’s all set to hit the theaters on 18th June, 2010.
